Bibby, Kings aim for third straight win vs. Trail Blazers

Mar 3, 2007 - 5:52 PM Sacramento (26-32) at Portland (25-34) 10:00 pm EST

PORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- Coach Eric Musselman has the Sacramento Kings heading in the right direction.

Musselman and the Kings will try to push their winning streak to three games Saturday when they pay a visit to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Mike Bibby recorded 33 points and seven assists and Kevin Martin chipped in 20 points for Sacramento in Friday's 116-108 triumph over the Los Angeles Lakers.

Bibby has been impressive of late, scoring at least 30 points in consecutive games for the first time since March 19-21 of last season.

Portland is coming of a 127-90 victory over lowly Charlotte on Thursday behind the efforts of rookie LaMarcus Aldridge, who had a season-high 30 points and six rebounds.

Also on Thursday, Blazers general manager and president Steve Patterson abruptly resigned from his position after owner Paul Allen declined to renew his contract.

With a loss on Saturday, Sacramento would fell to 1-3 against Portland for the first time since the 2003-04 campaign.
