O'Neal, Pacers look to end four-game slide

Mar 3, 2007 - 5:55 PM Indiana (29-28) at LA Clippers (28-30) 10:30 pm EST

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- The Indiana Pacers are in a funk, and All-Star Jermaine O'Neal would like to change all of that.

O'Neal and the Pacers look to snap their four-game losing streak Saturday when they visit the Los Angeles Clippers.

Mired in a its longest skid of the season, Indiana has not has a five-game losing streak since losing five consecutive contests from March 27-April 4.

Indiana lost the opener of its four-game West Coast trip on Friday, a 115-90 decision at Phoenix.

O'Neal was plagued by foul trouble throughout the contest and finished with 16 points and seven rebounds.

The Pacers have been struggling on defense of late, allowing opponents to reach the 100-point plateau in 10 of their last 11 matchups. They are just 4-7 over that stretch.

Los Angeles looks to bounce back after having its three-game winning streak stopped with Thursday's 77-75 setback at Seattle.

Despite the loss, the Clippers own a one-half game lead over the New Orleans Hornets (28-31) for the eighth and final postseason berth in the Western Conference.
