Arenas, Wizards aim for fourth straight home win

Mar 10, 2007 - 4:29 PM New York (28-34) at Washington (34-26) 7:00 pm EST

WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- The Washington Wizards have had little trouble protecting their home floor this season.

The Wizards aim for their fourth straight home win Saturday when they host the New York Knicks.

Washington is 24-8 at home this season, including a 99-98 win over the Knicks on January 17. All-Star forward Caron Butler led the Wizards with 27 points and 10 assists in the victory.

The Wizards had their three-game winning streak snapped Wednesday in a 100-97 loss to the Atlanta Hawks.

Gilbert Arenas scored 28 points while Butler grabbed 11 rebounds for Washington, which has won two of its three meetings with New York this season.

The Knicks are coming off Tuesday's tough 100-99 home loss to Seattle.

Stephon Marbury scored 40 points but squandered a chance to send the game to overtime with under a second left when he missed the second of two free throws.
