Bucks improved to 9-0 all-time vs. Bobcats

Mar 18, 2007 - 5:56 AM MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- Michael Redd and the Milwaukee Bucks must know what they are doing against the Charlotte Bobcats.

Redd collected 27 points to lead four players in double figures as the Bucks posted a 97-91 triumph over the Bobcats, who dropped their seventh straight road game.

Charlie Bell scored 18 points and former No. 1 overall pick Andrew Bogut added 17 and 11 rebounds for Milwaukee, which improved to 9-0 all-time against Charlotte.

With the game tied at 84-84, Milwaukee took the lead for good behind an 11-4 surge capped by a pair of free throws from Redd with 25 seconds remaining.

The Bucks are now 2-0 under new coach Larry Krystkowiak, who took over for the fired Terry Stotts on Wednesday.

"It's a new day, a fresh start and we're playing with a new freedom," Redd said. "We're trying to end the season the right way and make it respectable."

Gerald Wallace netted 20 points and Walter Herrmann chipped in 18 off the bench for the Bobcats, who shot 45 percent (31-of-68) and committed 15 turnovers.

"Great effort to hang in the game and it was a great team effort, it just slipped away," Herrmann said through a translator.

"Coach (Bernie Bickerstaff) went to our bench and Walter did a great job, " Wallace said.

In the fourth period, Charlotte was called for three technicals.

"I've been here three years, so I'm used to it," Wallace said. "If we're not blowing them out, we know what to expect. It's frustrating, because I want to win."

Charlotte's best chance for a victory in the series was a 103-102 setback in the Queen City last season.
