Raptors look for third straight win over Knicks

Mar 18, 2007 - 1:31 PM Toronto (36-30) at New York (29-36) 12:00 pm EST

NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Chris Bosh and T.J. Ford have been able to enhance their statistics in two meetings against the New York Knicks this season.

Bosh and Ford look for another successful outing against New York on Sunday when the Toronto Raptors attempt to win for the fifth time in six overall contests.

The team leader in points (22.7) and rebounds (10.4), Bosh is averaging 24.0 and 10.5 in two encounters against the Knicks this season. He scored 26 points and grabbed 13 boards for Toronto in a 103-100 triumph over New York on December 15.

Ford, who is seventh in the league in assists (7.9), tied a career high with 18 and scored 18 points to lead the Raptors in Wednesday's 104-94 victory over the Knicks.

Despite Friday's 114-100 loss to the Houston Rockets, Toronto holds a six-game lead over the New Jersey Nets (30-36) and 6 1/2 over the Knicks in the Atlantic Division race.

Although coach Isiah Thomas has guided New York to six more wins than last season and was given a multi-year contract extension, the Knicks have dropped three of their last four contests and are one-half game behind the Nets for eighth place in the Eastern Conference.

After scoring 31 points in Wednesday's loss to the Raptors, Stephon Marbury was limited to just eight on 3-of-13 shooting in Thursday's 92-90 defeat to the New Orleans Hornets.

David Lee (bone bruise) and Jamal Crawford (fractured ankle) are sidelined and Quentin Richardson (sore back) is doubtful for New York.
