Suns look to end two-game slide

Mar 20, 2007 - 3:41 PM Minnesota (28-37) at Phoenix (50-16) 10:00 pm EDT

PHOENIX (Ticker) -- Coach Mike D'Antoni and the Phoenix Suns have hit a small bump in the road.

Following a three-day layoff, the Suns try to snap a two-game losing streak Tuesday when they host superstar Kevin Garnett and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

After a dramatic 129-127 double overtime win at Dallas, the Suns lost back-to-back games to Detroit and Denver.

Phoenix was blitzed by Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony in a 131-107 loss at Denver on Saturday. Iverson collected 44 points and a season-high 15 assists and Anthony added 29 and eight rebounds.

"(A hangover) is possible," Suns forward Shawn Marion said. "A loss is a loss. We're trying to get ready for the playoffs."

The Suns will likely not overtake Dallas (54-11) for the best overall record and homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs.

Suns forward Boris Diaw appears to be getting back to form after missing 11 games nagging back spasms. He has reached double figures in four of his last five outings.

The Timberwolves have lost 10 in a row on the road, including Sunday's 109-102 setback to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Suns have won two of three meetings from Minnesota this season.
