Arenas seeks revenge against McMillan, Trail Blazers

Mar 20, 2007 - 3:52 PM Washington (36-28) at Portland (26-40) 10:00 pm EDT

PORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- Gilbert Arenas promised to score 50 points the first time he faced the Portland Trail Blazers. Maybe he will make that come true this time around.

Arenas and the Washington Wizards begin a five-game road trip when they visit the Trail Blazers on Tuesday.

Arenas expressed displeasure with United States national team coach Mike Krzyzewski and his assistants Mike D'Antoni and Nate McMillan after being cut this past summer.

Vowing to score 50 points against McMillan's Trail Blazers, Arenas instead made just 3-of-15 shots in a 94-73 loss to Portland on February 11.

The two-time All-Star guard should be more concerned with helping his team hold on to first place in the Southeast Division. Washington has just a one-game lead over Miami (36-30).

Arenas collected 30 points and 11 assists in the Wizards' 125-103 win over New Orleans on Saturday.

The Trail Blazers will not have star forward Zach Randolph, who is on bereavement leave.

Randolph scored 16 points and rookie Brandon Roy added 14 in a 95-77 loss to Seattle on Sunday.
