Heat look to continue climb in East

Mar 21, 2007 - 2:34 PM Miami (36-30) at Atlanta (27-41) 7:00 pm EDT

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Miami Heat have more than survived without superstar guard Dwyane Wade.

Three days after having their season-high nine-game winning streak halted, the Heat will visit the Atlanta Hawks.

Miami is 10-3 since losing Wade, who remains sidelined with a dislocated shoulder. The Heat are coming off a 97-83 loss to Orlando on Sunday.

Miami is just one-half game behind first-place Washington (36-29) in the Southeast Division. The Wizards lost at Portland on Tuesday.

However, the Heat are just 13-19 on the road.

The Hawks coasted to a 99-76 triumph over slumping Sacramento on Monday. Josh Childress scored 25 points, Zaza Pachulia netted 23 and Marvin Williams added 13 and 11 rebounds for Atlanta, which improved to 5-2 without injured All-Star Joe Johnson (right calf contusion).

Atlanta has won five straight home games and can match the franchise's longest home winning streak since March 11-26, 2002 with a victory on Wednesday.
