Pierce, Celtics look to continue dominance over Bobcats
Mar 21, 2007 - 2:45 PM Charlotte (25-43) at Boston (20-47) 7:30 pm EDTBOSTON (Ticker) -- The Boston Celtics seek their fifth consecutive home win over the Charlotte Bobcats when the Eastern Conference teams meet on Wednesday.
The Celtics are 7-2 against Charlotte, including winning all four meetings at TD Banknorth Garden.
Paul Pierce scored 28 points in the Celtics' 106-88 loss to the New Orleans Hornets on Sunday. Al Jefferson was held to nine points, ending his streak of 16 straight games in double figures.
The Bobcats have lost eight straight on the road.
Gerald Wallace collected 27 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks in Charlotte's 106-100 overtime victory over Cleveland on Tuesday.
Rookie Walter Herrmann has been stellar off the bench for the Bobcats, averaging 15.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in his last four games.
