Brand, Clippers aim for even road trip

Mar 21, 2007 - 3:02 PM LA Clippers (31-36) at Milwaukee (25-41) 8:00 pm EDT

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- Elton Brand and the Los Angeles Clippers can break even on their six-game road trip with a win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday.

Brand, Cuttino Mobley and Corey Maggette all reached the 20-point plateau for Los Angeles in Tuesday's 103-89 triumph over the Chicago Bulls.

The win helped the Clippers close within one percentage point of the Golden State Warriors (32-37) for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

"At this point they are all huge for us right now," Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy said. "With being on a six-game road trip it gives us a chance to be 3-3, which would be an excellent trip."

Milwaukee has won two straight games under Larry Krystkowiak, who took over as coach after Terry Stotts was fired last week.

Michael Redd scored 27 points to lead the Bucks to a 97-91 victory over Charlotte on Saturday. He is averaging 28.5 points and shooting 51 percent in his last four outings.

Milwaukee has been swept in the season series the past two seasons by Los Angeles, which is just 10-24 away from the Staples Center.
