Timberwolves hope to end 10-game road skid

Mar 21, 2007 - 3:19 PM Minnesota (28-38) at Sacramento (29-38) 10:00 pm EDT

SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- The Minnesota Timberwolves seek to snap their season-high 10-game road losing streak when they visit the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday.

Superstar Kevin Garnett expressed his frustration with Minnesota's plight after collecting 30 points and 16 rebounds in a 108-90 loss at Phoenix on Tuesday

"We're 66 games into it and we didn't come together like normal and battle," Garnett said. "We sometimes dig ourselves in these holes then get motivated and start to try to get out of it."

However, Minnesota is just 2 1/2 games behind the eighth-place Golden State Warriors (32-37) and Los Angeles Clippers (31-36) for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

The Kings are coming off a 99-76 setback to the Atlanta Hawks. Sacramento shot just 37 percent from the field and made 3-of-20 from 3-point range.

Sacramento has lost six of its last seven games, but is only two games back of the Warriors and Clippers for the final playoff spot in the West.
