Bobcats look to continue solid play against 76ers
Mar 23, 2007 - 9:45 PM Charlotte (26-43) at Philadelphia (26-42) 7:00 pm EDTPHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Gerald Wallace and the Charlotte Bobcats certainly are not playing like a lottery team.
Wallace and the Bobcats look to continue their improved play Friday, when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers, who will be without leading scorer Andre Iguodala.
Charlotte (26-43) has the third-worst record in the Eastern Conference but has won four of its last six contests, including Wednesday's 92-84 triumph at Boston in which Raymond Felton scored 19 points.
The 76ers have lost three of their last four games, including a 96-75 loss to Detroit on Tuesday. They have dropped their last two contests by a combined 71 points.
In those losses, Iguodala was held to single digits, marking the first time this season he did not reach double figures in consecutive games. He has been bothered by a strained lower back, which will force him to miss a game for the first time in his career.
Iguodala had started 232 straight regular-season games, the NBA's third-longest active streak behind Bruce Bowen and Tayshaun Prince.
The Bobcats hold a 2-1 edge in the season series, with the home team winning each game.
