Mar 24, 2007 - 1:44 PM New Jersey (31-38) at Charlotte (26-44) 7:00 pm EDT

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- The New Jersey Nets will try to bounce back from a disappointing loss when they visit the Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday.

New Jersey trails the Orlando Magic (32-38) and Indiana Pacers (31-37) in the race for the last two Eastern Conference playoff spots. Vince Carter scored 27 points in the Nets' 90-82 loss at Orlando on Friday.

"We are not discouraged," New Jersey guard Jason Kidd said. "There are 13 games left and we have to try and win as many as we can and come April 19, we will see where we stand."

Nets forward Richard Jefferson is rounding into form. After missing 21 games while recovering from ankle surgery, Jefferson has averaged 16.0 points in eight games.

Gerald Wallace had 21 points and seven assists for Charlotte in a 106-97 loss at Philadelphia on Friday.

The Bobcats and New Jersey split two meetings this season, with the Nets posting a 92-85 triumph here on January 17 as Carter scored 26 points.
