Jazz aim to get back on track vs. Grizzlies

Mar 24, 2007 - 2:00 PM Memphis (17-52) at Utah (44-24) 9:00 pm EDT

SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- The Utah Jazz are glad to be back home on the heels of another road loss.

The Jazz, who have won nine of their last 10 home games, face the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday.

Utah is just one-half game ahead of Houston (44-25) for the homecourt advantage in a possible first-round playoff series in the Western Conference.

That's important for Utah, which has lost its last five road games, including a 104-72 setback against the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday.

Utah All-Star center Mehmet Okur hopes to bounce back after scoring a total of nine points in his last two games. He is averaging 20.5 points this season.

On Thursday, the Grizzlies were victimized for 60 points by Kobe Bryant in a 121-119 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Pau Gasol had 35 points and 14 rebounds and Mike Miller scored 33 for Memphis, which has not won back-to-back games this season.

Saturday's matchup marks the start of a six-game road trip for the Grizzlies, who are an NBA-worst 5-28 away from home this season.
