Duncan, Spurs aim for third straight win over Sonics

Mar 25, 2007 - 3:27 PM San Antonio (48-20) at Seattle (27-41) 9:00 pm EDT

SEATTLE (Ticker) -- The San Antonio Spurs are already penciled in for another run at the NBA title. Now all they just have to finish the season on a positive note.

With 14 games remaining, the Spurs go in search of their third win in a row when they meet the undermanned Seattle SuperSonics on Sunday.

Tony Parker had 22 points and seven assists and Duncan chipped in 17 and 14 rebounds in San Antonio's 90-89 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Friday.

The Spurs enter with a four-game winning streak against the SuperSonics, who have lost both meetings with San Antonio this season by an average of 25.5 points.

Rashard Lewis' 13 fourth-quarter points helped Seattle erase a nine-point deficit in the final four minutes of Friday's contest for an 85-82 triumph over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Without the sweet stroke of All-Star guard Ray Allen, Lewis has taken over the offensive load and leadership for his ailing teammate.

Due to ongoing trouble with bone spurs in his left ankle, Allen is heavily considering season-ending surgery. He leads the club in scoring (26.4) and free throws percentage (90 percent).
