Raptors could be without F Bosh against Celtics

Mar 26, 2007 - 1:30 PM Toronto (38-31) at Boston (20-49) 7:30 pm EDT

BOSTON (Ticker) - Trying to continue their strong play against Atlantic Division foes, the Toronto Raptors may have to do so without All-Star forward Chris Bosh when they meet the Boston Celtics on Monday.

Bosh, who averages 22.7 points per game to pace the Raptors, suffered a sprained right ankle in the third quarter of Friday's 121-94 victory over Denver. He is day-to-day.

The Raptors have played well within the division this season, posting a 9-3 record. They have a 6 1/2-game lead over New Jersey with 13 contests remaining.

Toronto will be looking for some road consistency, having dropped three of its last four contests away from the Air Canada Centre.

While the Raptors are heading toward the playoffs, the Celtics are headed toward the lottery as they own the Eastern Conference's worst record. Boston also is an NBA-worst 9-25 at home.

Paul Pierce scored 30 points while improving Al Jefferson managed a season-low four in a 109-95 loss to league-leading Dallas on Friday.

Toronto has won all three meetings between the teams.
