Howard, Magic seek third straight win

Mar 28, 2007 - 2:20 PM Orlando (33-38) at Boston (21-49) 7:30 pm EDT

BOSTON (Ticker) -- Coach Brian Hill and the Orlando Magic might have found their groove.

The Magic go for their third straight win when they visit the Boston Celtics on Wednesday.

Orlando put together back-to-back wins for the first time since a five-game winning streak at the start of January with Monday's 94-89 triumph over the New York Knicks.

The Magic reside in seventh place in the Eastern Confence playoff race, one-half game ahead of the New Jersey Nets (32-38).

Orlando will be seeking its first season series sweep of Boston since winning six consecutive meetings from January 24, 1997 to January 10, 1998.

In their last matchup, Grant Hill scored 24 points to lead the Magic to an 87-79 triumph on January 7.

Paul Pierce scored 23 points and Al Jefferson added 22 and nine rebounds for the Celtics, who snapped a three-game slide with a 95-87 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Monday.
