Mavericks can tie franchise record for wins in season

Mar 28, 2007 - 3:16 PM Milwaukee (25-44) at Dallas (59-11) 8:30 pm EDT

DALLAS (Ticker) -- The Dallas Mavericks can tie a franchise record for wins when they host the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday.

After completing a 6-0 road trip, the Mavericks seek their 60th win of the season when they face the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday. Dallas won 60 games last season and in the 2002-03 campaign.

The Mavericks own a six-game lead over Phoenix (53-17) in the Western Conference. They concluded their trip with a 105-89 win over New Orleans on Tuesday. Josh Howard scored 25 points and Jason Terry added 19 for Dallas, which has won seven straight overall and is 31-4 at home this season.

Dirk Nowitzki shook off flu-like symptoms and scored 15 points, his lowest total since netting just 13 in a 117-100 loss to Golden State on March 12.

The Bucks fell at Houston, 106-87, on Tuesday. Michael Redd scored 26 points and Charlie Bell netted 20 for Milwaukee, which is 6 1/2 games behind New Jersey (32-38) for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
