Duncan, Spurs hope to continue dominance of Sonics

SAN ANTONIO (Ticker) -- After a frustrating loss, Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs look to regroup against a team they have had their way with.

The Spurs shoot for their their eighth straight win over the Seattle Supersonics when the teams square off Tuesday.

San Antonio had its six-game winning streak snapped Sunday in a 100-99 loss at Indiana.

Tony Parker scored 22 points and Duncan added 17 and 11 rebounds for San Antonio, which lost on a layup by Jamaal Tinsley with 1.1 seconds remaining.

However Duncan had seven turnovers and received a technical foul for the Spurs (52-21), who dropped three games behind the the Phoenix Suns (55-18) for the second seed in the Western Conference.

San Antonio is 3-0 vs. Seattle this season, winning all three by an average of 30.7 points, including a 120-79 win at Seattle on March 25. The Spurs have swept the Sonics just once in the 30-year history of the series.
