Hawks aim to stop seven-game slide

Apr 6, 2007 - 5:31 PM Milwaukee (26-48) at Atlanta (27-48) 7:30 pm EDT

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The injury-plagued Atlanta Hawks try to snap a a seven-game losing streak Friday when they face the Milwaukee Bucks.

With the Hawks missing Joe Johnson (calf), Speedy Claxton (knee) and Josh Childress (foot) all sidelined, coach Mike Woodson has limited options to finish the season.

"We are missing so many players; Joe Johnson, Speedy and Josh," Woodson said. "We have 33 points back in Atlanta. Guys are playing that normally wouldn't be playing this many minutes."

Salim Stoudamire scored 19 points as the Hawks endured a 101-86 loss at New Jersey on Wednesday.

Despite not having the starting backcourt duo of Michael Redd and Mo Williams, Milwaukee ended its seven-game slide with Wednesday's 98-89 over Boston.

Redd and Williams both will be game-time decisions for Bucks coach Larry Krystkowiak, who has guided the club to a 3-8 record since taking over for the fired Terry Stotts on March 12.
