Magic continue playoff push vs. Grizzlies

Apr 7, 2007 - 3:54 PM Memphis (19-58) at Orlando (34-41) 7:00 pm EDT

ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) - Barely holding on to the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, the Orlando Magic hope a visit from the league-worst Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday will help them get a better grip.

Seeking their first postseason berth in four years, the Magic (34-41) are one game ahead of Indiana (33-42) in the race for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Orlando has lost three of its last four games by a combined 13 points, including a pair in overtime and Wednesday's 111-108 setback to Toronto. Hedo Turkoglu scored a season-high 37 points and Dwight Howard added 18 and 15 rebounds.

Perhaps a visit from the Grizzlies will help. Memphis has lost four in a row and is coming off Friday's 116-104 home loss to Golden State.

The Grizzlies are getting good play from rookie Tarence Kinsey, who scored a season-high 28 points Friday and has scored 20 or more points in five of his last seven games.

On November 20, Memphis notched a 96-85 home win over Orlando.
