Sixers still have slim playoff hopes

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The Philadelphia 76ers hope to keep their slim playoff hopes alive on Sunday when they host the Atlanta Hawks.

The 76ers (30-45) are 4 1/2 games behind Orlando (35-41) for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. But Philadelphia is just 2 1/2 games ahead of the 13th-place Hawks.

The Sixers have missed the playoffs seven straight seasons.

Philadelphia is coming off a 94-85 loss to Toronto on Friday. Andre Iguodala had 20 points and Samuel Dalembert added 15.

The Hawks ended their seven-game losing streak with a 115-102 victory over Milwaukee on Friday. Reserve guard Salim Stoudamire scored 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the arc and Josh Smith collected 28 points and a career-high 18 boards.

Atlanta continues to play without guard Joe Johnson (right calf), forward Zaza Pachulia (ankle), forward Josh Childress (foot) and guard Speedy Claxton (knee).

The Hawks have lost two of the three meetings this season. Smith collected 26 points and 17 rebounds in a 104-92 victory over the Sixers on March 13.
