Bosh, Raptors face Timberwolves

Apr 9, 2007 - 2:26 PM Toronto (44-33) at Minnesota (32-44) 8:00 pm EDT

MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The Toronto Raptors have their sights set on the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Raptors locked up their first division title last Friday and will head to Minnesota looking for a win to pull them to within a game of Chicago (46-32) or Cleveland (46-32) for the second seed in the East.

Toronto All-Star Chris Bosh has averaged 26.3 points and 12.5 rebounds in his last six games, up from his season averages of 22.8 and 10.7.

Since the start of the calendar year, Toronto is 31-15. The Raptors set a franchise mark for home wins with 28 after Sunday's 103-89 win over Chicago. Anthony Parker scored 27 points and Bosh collected 22 and 11 rebounds.

The Timberwolves are headed for the lottery. They have lost five of seven and were mathematically eliminated from the playoff race following a 96-94 loss to New Orleans on Friday.

All-Star Kevin Garnett managed just 13 points in the loss, down 9.5 from his season average.

The Raptors have won the last five meetings, including a 100-97 victory on December 27.
