Pacers hope for much-needed victory, face Bucks

Apr 11, 2007 - 5:06 PM Indiana (34-43) at Milwaukee (26-51) 8:00 pm EDT

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) - With their playoff hopes dimming almost daily, the Indiana Pacers visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday.

Indiana (34-43) is two games behind Orlando (36-41) for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Pacers have not missed the postseason since 1997, the longest current streak in the East.

Indiana is on the road for three of its last five games and has been brutal away from home. Tuesday's 90-86 setback at Philadelphia was the 12th loss in the last 13 road games for the Pacers.

However, the Pacers have won all three matchups with the Bucks this season and are gunning for their first series sweep since the 1998-99 campaign. All-Star forward Jermaine O'Neal is averaging 25.0 points vs. Milwaukee.

The banged-up Bucks have dropped three straight and 10 of 11, including a 117-94 loss to Orlando on Monday. Leading scorer Michael Redd will sit out the rest of the season after aggravating a left knee injury.

The Pacers could be without point guard Jamaal Tinsley (bruised right elbow) for a fourth straight game.
