Magic continue push for first playoff berth in four years

Apr 14, 2007 - 3:00 PM Orlando (36-42) at Philadelphia (33-45) 3:00 pm EDT

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The Orlando Magic hope to move closer to their first playoff berth in four years when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday afternoon.

Orlando (36-42) is one game ahead of the Indiana Pacers (35-43) with four games left for the Eastern Conference's final playoff spot.

Grant Hill scored 22 points in Orlando's 104-99 loss at Detroit on Wednesday.

The Magic have lost three of their last five games, but have two very winnable games ahead of them. After Philadelphia, Orlando takes on Boston at home and then faces injury-riddled Washington before finishing up with Miami at home.

Philadelphia has won three in a row, but will be eliminated with a loss here on Saturday.

The Sixers are 28-27 after trading superstar guard Allen Iverson to Denver.

Steven Hunter scored a career-high 20 points in the Sixers' 102-94 win over Boston on Wednesday.

The teams have split the first two meetings. The Magic won the last meeting, 86-84 on December 9 as Dwight Howard collected 28 points and 12 rebounds.
