Clippers host Kings in playoff push

Apr 15, 2007 - 4:14 PM Sacramento (32-47) at LA Clippers (39-40) 3:30 pm EDT

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) - The Los Angeles Clippers are in a dog fight with the Golden State Warriors for the Western Conference's final playoff spot.

Los Angeles hosts the Sacramento Kings on Sunday and look to inch closer to their second consecutive playoff berth.

The Clippers (39-40) are tied with Golden State (39-40), but have the edge when it comes down to tiebreaker because of a better division record.

Los Angeles, which has won two in a row and six of its last 10, is coming off a 107-89 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday. Cuttino Mobley scored 22 points in the win.

The Kings should be an easy target for the Clippers to beat up on. The Kings have lost two in a row and seven of their last 10.

Sacramento leads the season series 2-1, the last meeting was a 105-101 Clippers win at Arco Arena. Elton Brand scored 26 points in that contest.
