Nets aim for season sweep of Knicks

Apr 16, 2007 - 2:31 PM New Jersey (39-41) at New York (32-48) 7:30 pm EDT

NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Another solid performance from Bostjan Nachbar could go a long way in helping the New Jersey Nets catch the Washington Wizards for the Eastern Conference's sixth playoff spot.

Nachbar and the Nets visit the New York Knicks on Monday.

The 6-9 forward hit 6-of-6 from the arc on his way to scoring 25 points in New Jersey's 111-107 win over Indiana on Sunday.

The Nets (39-41), who are one game behind the Wizards (40-40) for the sixth seed, can complete a four-game season sweep of the Knicks on Monday.

The Knicks were eliminated from the playoff race after losing at New Jersey, 100-86, on Friday.

New York's Stephon Marbury has missed five straight games with a toe injury.

However, the Knicks did get Steve Francis back, who missed the previous two games with a sprained right ankle. Francis scored 28 in Sunday's 107-105 loss to Toronto.
