Knicks conclude regular season at Charlotte

Apr 18, 2007 - 2:59 PM New York (32-49) at Charlotte (33-48) 7:00 pm EDT

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- The New York Knicks seek to snap a five-game losing streak when they face the Charlotte Bobcats in the season finale on Wednesday.

The Knicks, who have been in existence since 1946, are one game behind the Bobcats, who entered the NBA in 2004.

New York improved its win total after going 23-59 last season under former coach Larry Brown.

The Bobcats are making steady progress. They won 18 games in their first season and improved that total to 26 last year.

Charlotte has been without some key players down the stretch. Gerald Wallace, the team's leading scorer, has missed the last two games with tendinitis in both knees. Rookie Adam Morrison has missed the last three games with a sprained right knee.
