Streaking Magic visit Pistons

Jan 2, 2012 - 3:50 PM (Sports Network) - The Orlando Magic target their fifth straight win when they pay a visit to the Detroit Pistons tonight at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

Orlando has won four in a row since losing its season opener at Oklahoma City and recently handed the Toronto Raptors a 102-96 setback on Sunday in central Florida.

Hedo Turkoglu scored 10 of his 15 points in the final stanza, as the Magic overcame a 13-point, fourth-quarter deficit. Dwight Howard finished with a double-double of 19 points and 15 rebounds, while Ryan Anderson netted 24 points for the Magic.

"He's playing with a lot of confidence, which is great," Howard said of Anderson.

Detroit will resume a three-game homestand Monday night and opened the residency with a 96-88 victory versus the Indiana Pacers, ending a season- opening three-game slide.

Jonas Jerebko poured in a game-high 20 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead the Pistons, who will also host Chicago on this homestand and earned their first win under new head coach Lawrence Frank.

Greg Monroe finished with 19 points and 11 boards, while Ben Gordon had 16 points and Rodney Stuckey chipped in 15, seven rebounds and seven assists in the win.

"We took a step closer in terms of playing defense and limiting teams to one shot," Frank said. "Obviously we have to defend the three better, and offensively sharing the ball, not caring who gets the credit."

Pistons forward Charlie Villanueva (undisclosed) is questionable for Monday.

Orlando took two of three meetings with Detroit a year ago and has won five of the previous six matchups between the teams. Orlando, however, has lost 10 of 13 and 12 of its last 16 contests at The Palace.
