Heat try to solve Bucks at Bradley Center
Feb 13, 2012 - 3:45 PM (Sports Network) - The Miami Heat resume a hectic three games in three nights stretch tonight when they hit the hardwood at Bradley Center vs. the Milwaukee Bucks.The Heat kicked off their tough journey and improved to 2-1 on a season-long six-game road trip in Atlanta on Sunday when Dwyane Wade scored all 21 of his points in a lopsided first half, as Miami cruised past the Hawks, 107-87, in a Southeast Division showdown.
LeBron James chipped in 23 points, 13 rebounds and six assists, while Chris Bosh added 14 points and 16 boards for Miami, which was able to rest Wade and James for the entire fourth quarter and Bosh for all but 5:17.
The division-leading Heat led by as many as 32 against the second-place Hawks. They outscored them at the foul line, 26-6 and won the battle on the glass, 52-38.
"It's a great way to start [the three games in as many nights stretch] by being able to get some rest for our big guys," James said.
The Heat, who are now 9-5 as the visitor on the season, will visit Indiana on Tuesday before concluding their trek in Cleveland later in the week.
Miami in now tied with Chicago for the fewest losses in the East and has a three-game lead over Atlanta in the Southeast but it has been unable to handle the Bucks so far this season. Milwaukee has won three straight over the Heat, including both matchups so far this season.
The Bucks opened a three-game homestand in losing fashion on Saturday, falling to Orlando 99-94.
Drew Gooden scored 21 points and pulled down eight rebounds in the loss while Ersan Ilyasova had 17 points and 16 boards as Milwaukee had its two-game winning streak snapped.
"We did a pretty good job for 42 minutes and then those guys got hot," said the Bucks' Mike Dunleavy. "The rest is history and unfortunately we let one get away."
Milwaukee, which is 7-5 at BC, will close out is residency against New Orleans on Wednesday.
The Bucks will be aiming to sweep the seasons series tonight.
