Kings invade Auburn Hills to take on Pistons

Feb 17, 2012 - 3:36 PM (Sports Network) - The Detroit Pistons try to make it two straight wins tonight when they welcome the Sacramento Kings to the Palace at Auburn Hills.

Detroit picked up one of its most impressive wins of the season on Wednesday, as Ben Gordon scored 12 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter to help Pistons to a 98-88 victory over the Boston Celtics at TD Garden.

Rodney Stuckey paced Detroit with 25 points and Greg Monroe added 22 with nine rebounds as the Pistons snapped their two-game losing streak to win for the fifth time in seven chances.

"I really thought it was a total team win," Pistons head coach Lawrence Frank said. "We had great production from everyone that played the game."

Detroit, which will host Boston on Sunday, is 6-10 in its building this season.

Sacramento, on the other hand, enters tonight's tilt having lost three in a row after watching the Jeremy Lin show on Wednesday in a 100-85 setback to the red-hot New York Knicks.

The Kings, one night after setting a season-high with 115 points in a loss to the Bulls, scored 30 fewer in their third straight setback. Tyreke Evans led them with 19 points and DeMarcus Cousins scored 15.

"We just didn't run our plays all the way through," said Evans. "It was just like one-on-one basketball."

Sacramento, which will play six road games over a nine-day span leading into the All-Star break, has the most road losses in the Western Conference with 14.

It doesn't figure to get any easier for the Kings tonight. They have lost six of nine and nine of 13 to the Pistons, including five of seven in Detroit.
