Magic try to continue mastery of Bucks

Mar 3, 2012 - 4:01 PM (Sports Network) - The Orlando Magic look to sweep the season series from the Milwaukee Bucks when the two teams collide tonight at Amway Center.

The Magic have won the first three matchups with the Bucks and six straight overall. They are 16-3 in the past 19 meetings between the teams and have won 12 in a row as the host. Orlando is 15-2 in the previous 17 games as the home team and will play Milwaukee for the fourth time since Feb. 11.

Orlando hopes to get back into the win column Saturday after suffering a 105-102 setback versus Oklahoma City two nights ago in central Florida.

Dwight Howard had 33 points and nine rebounds, while Jameer Nelson recorded 15 points and nine assists for the Magic, who lost for the second time in three games and for just the third time in 10 tries.

"You want to be rolling toward the end of the season and going into the playoffs," said Howard. "We're in a good position right now... We haven't been playing our best, but we're right there."

After entertaining Milwaukee the Magic will hit the road for three games against the Raptors, Bobcats and Bulls. Orlando is 12-7 at home in 2011-12.

The Bucks will close out a three-game road trip Saturday and have lost the first two tests on the trek, including last night's 99-94 setback at Atlanta.

Brandon Jennings led all scorers with 34 points to go with eight assists, while Drew Gooden added a double-double with 24 points and 10 boards for the Bucks, who have lost four of five and eight of their last 10 contests.

"I felt like we had a stretch there where two or three times we didn't scramble back on defense well enough," said Bucks head coach Scott Skiles. "It was just one of those games, again, where we couldn't make the big play and they did. They made the big shots and they were able to stop us enough to cause us to miss shots in the fourth quarter."

Skiles' squad will return home for three games versus Philadelphia, Chicago and New York after tonight's contest in Orlando. The Bucks are 6-14 away from Brew City this season. In injury news, Bucks guard Mike Dunleavy (personal) did not play against Atlanta and neither did guard Stephen Jackson (hamstring).

Dunleavy could be back tonight and Jackson's status is day-to-day.
