Thunder come alive late, beat Suns
Mar 8, 2012 - 4:10 AM Oklahoma City, OK (Sports Network) - Russell Westbrook finished with 31 points and 10 assists, and the Oklahoma City Thunder overcame a 16-point second half deficit to take down the Phoenix Suns, 115-104, on Wednesday.James Harden and Kevin Durant netted 30 points apiece and Serge Ibaka grabbed 20 boards to go with 18 points for the Thunder, who have won 14 straight at home and 11 of 13 overall.
Marcin Gortat scored 28 points and had 11 rebounds while Jared Dudley contributed 17 and 11 for the Suns, who saw a three-game winning streak snapped. Steve Nash donated 12 points and 13 assists in defeat.
Phoenix came out of the locker room at halftime up six, and slowly built up that advantage until it reached 84-68 at the 4:13 mark of the third quarter.
It was then that OKC's big three made a furious move.
Durant began the spurt with a floating jumper, Harden hit two from the free throw line, and Westbrook forced a turnover and slammed home a dunk.
A Dudley layup followed before Harden drained a three-pointer and Ibaka threw down a dunk. Durant knocked down a turnaround jumper, and Westbrook finished the rally with a trey.
The 16-2 run took less than four minutes to complete, and the Suns advantage had shrunk to 86-84.
Oklahoma City went on a 14-1 run in the fourth to take its first lead since 2-0 and never looked back, outscoring Phoenix 31-16 in the frame.

Channing Frye finished with 13 points and eight rebounds for Phoenix...Oklahoma City outshot Phoenix 50 percent to 17.6 percent in the fourth quarter and 45.5 percent to 34.3 percent in the second half...The Suns led 64-58 at halftime.
