Bucks and Raptors square off north of the border

Mar 11, 2012 - 2:35 PM (Sports Network) - Milwaukee hopes to end a four-game road losing streak and inch closer to the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference when they visit Toronto on Sunday.

The Bucks are two games behind the Knicks for the No. 8 spot in the East, tightening things on Friday when Ersan Ilyasova was one of three Milwaukee players with 20-plus points, dropping 26, as the Bucks topped New York, 119-114, at Bradley Center.

Brandon Jennings and Mike Dunleavy netted 25 points apiece while Carlos Delfino and Drew Gooden scored 14 and 12, respectively. Jennings also dished out 10 assists for the Bucks.

"We were able to at least make enough plays again to win the game," said Bucks head coach Scott Skiles. "Both teams had good open looks all over the place and we obviously couldn't stop them, we just needed to score more than them and we did that tonight."

The Raptors welcomed star power forward Andrea Bargnani back to the lineup on Saturday at Detroit but were still trounced by the Pistons, 105-86.

Bargnani, who missed 20 straight games with a calf injury, scored eight points in 19 minutes of action. Toronto was led by DeMar DeRozan, who finished with 15 points, while Jerryd Bayless and Gary Forbes scored 12 apiece as Toronto dropped to 6-14 on the road this season.

To make matters worse for the Raptors, starting point guard Jose Calderon was helped off the court in the second quarter and did not return after rolling his right ankle when he stepped on the foot of Knight.

"They just outworked us," said Raptors forward James Johnson. "I don't know whatever they did but we came in and you might think that people are focused, but out there it looked like we were tired actually. We hadn't accomplished anything that we wanted to."

X-rays on Calderon were negative but the veteran is expected to sit tonight as Toronto attempts to halt a five-game slide against Milwaukee.
