Danny Green contributed 11 points in the victory for San Antonio.

"It's good to win and it's even better to win on the road," Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said. "Guys showed a lot of energy, a lot of focus, and it's good to see."

Isaiah Thomas netted a game-high 21 points and dished out eight assists for the Kings, who have lost eight of their last nine contests. Marcus Thornton finished with 20 points and DeMarcus Cousins added 18 and nine rebounds in defeat.

Holding a one-point lead heading into the third quarter, the Spurs opened the game up in the third, using a 15-6 run to extend the lead to 10 with 7:33 left in the quarter.

San Antonio outscored the Kings, 39-29, in the third frame and held a comfortable 97-86 advantage heading into the fourth.

The Spurs poured it on in the fourth quarter, as they outscored the Kings, 30-16 in the final frame, and a running 14-footer by Leonard with under eight minutes to play in the game pushed the San Antonio lead over the 20-point threshold, 110-89.

A pair of free throws by Terrence Williams cut the deficit to 19, but the Spurs were unfazed and rolled to the easy win, with a deep three from Jackson at the tail end of the game, giving San Antonio its largest lead of the night, 127-100.

After a tightly-played first quarter which featured five lead changes and one tie, the Spurs held a slim 29-28 lead.

The second quarter was just as close, featuring six lead changes and four ties, and a three-point play by Mills at the tail end of the frame gave the Spurs a 58-57 advantage at halftime.

"It's frustrating, but they're a good team and they're fighting for a number one spot," Cousins said. "There's a reason they're fighting for that top spot, they're a darn good team and they came out and played a good game."
