Kings resume road trip against Bucks

Dec 12, 2012 - 3:53 PM (Sports Network) - DeMarcus Cousins is averaging a double-double over his last four games for the Sacramento Kings, who can use another one from the big man when they resume a four-game road trip Wednesday against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Cousins has registered 21.5 points and 11.3 rebounds in a four-game stretch that has seen the Kings go 3-1. The Kings had a three-game winning streak stopped in Monday's 119-96 blowout loss to the Dallas Mavericks and got 25 points and six rebounds from Cousins.

Cousins leads the Kings in scoring (17.2 ppg) and rebounding (9.9 rpg).

Francisco Garcia scored a career-best 25 points and Jason Thompson finished with 11 points and 12 boards for Sacramento, which has lost 17 in a row at Dallas and fell to 1-7 away from home.

"They started the game with crazy runs and were making every shot. So it was really hard for us to make a comeback tonight," Garcia said.

Sacramento was looking for its first four-game winning streak since March 23-29, 2011 and will close out the road trip Friday at Oklahoma City.

Kings guard Tyreke Evans missed his third straight game and fifth in six tries because of a balky knee and is averaging 15.5 ppg. Evans, who is questionable for Wednesday, is averaging 23.3 ppg in the past three games he has played.

Milwaukee has won two in a row and three of five games, and ended a two-game slide with Sunday's 97-88 victory at Brooklyn. Brandon Jennings (26) and Monta Ellis (24) combined for 50 points and Marquis Daniels totaled 13 points and seven rebounds for the Bucks, who led by as many as 29 points in the second half.

"Other than the initial start of the game, we played pretty well and Brooklyn didn't," Milwaukee coach Scott Skiles told NBA.com. "The Nets missed shots they normally wouldn't and we took advantage of it. Brooklyn obviously made it a game late. Overall, it was a great win for us. It's the nature of our team; when Monta Ellis and Brandon Jennings are playing well, we usually win."

The Bucks have reached 10 wins in a season the fastest since the 2005-06 season, when they hit the 10-win mark after 17 games.

Milwaukee will visit Cleveland Friday before returning to Brew City to host the Clippers and Pacers. The Bucks are 5-4 at the Bradley Center. On the injury front, forward Mike Dunleavy (knee) and center Ekpe Udoh (wrist) are questionable versus the Kings.

In other Milwaukee news, the state of Wisconsin has declared this date, Dec. 12, 2012, to be Aaron Rodgers day. Rodgers is the quarterback of the Green Bay Packers and wears No. 12.

The Bucks lost last season's only meeting with the Kings, a 103-100 setback on Jan. 5 in California's capital. Sacramento has won 10 of the previous 15 matchups as the visitor in this series.
