Celtics visit declawed Bobcats in Charlotte
Mar 12, 2013 - 2:43 PM (Sports Network) - The Boston Celtics aim to get back on track when they pay a visit to the Charlotte Bobcats Tuesday night. The Celtics had a five-game winning streak cut short with Sunday's 91-79 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Paul Pierce recorded 20 points and Avery Bradley posted 12 points for Boston, which is even with Atlanta for the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference.
"I thought our shot selection was awful. We missed some open shots and we got stuck a lot on one side of the floor," Celtics head coach Doc Rivers said.
Kevin Garnett finished with 10 points and 11 boards for Boston, which is 12-19 on the road and will begin a three-game homestand Wednesday versus Toronto.
The Bobcats have been struggling to the tune of 10 straight losses.
In a 104-87 loss at Washington on Saturday, Kemba Walker scored 29 points to go with six assists and Gerald Henderson had 17 points in defeat.
"I think we did alright offensively, but we couldn't stop them enough," Henderson said.
Charlotte will play two straight at Toronto and Boston following this home tilt versus the Celtics.
The Bobcats and Celtics have split a pair of games this season with each team winning as the host.
Boston, though, has won 10 of the last 13 meetings with the Bobcats and is 22-8 in the all-time series.
The Celtics have won 10 of the 15 matchups as the guest in this series.
