Magic, Bobcats set to square off at Charlotte

Orlando is 1 1/2 games ahead of the Bobcats for the worst mark in the league.
These two teams were the latest victims of the Miami Heat and their epic run at NBA history. On Sunday, the Heat bested the Bobcats, then knocked off the Magic on Monday. Those were wins No. 26 and 27 in a row for the Heat.
On the other side of the spectrum, the Magic have lost seven straight games. Their last win was a home victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on March 10. The Magic have lost five in a row on the road.
Against the Heat, Orlando was led by a great effort from point guard Jameer Nelson. He finished with 27 points and 12 assists, but the Magic fell 108-94 to the defending champion Heat.
"We were short-handed and giving ourselves a chance to stay within striking distance," said head coach Jacque Vaughn. "You have to give yourself a chance against a great team like that."
The Magic were without Nikola Vucevic, Al Harrington and Arron Afflalo. Vucevic is listed as questionable after a concussion. Harrington's availability is unknown and Afflalo will miss the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.
The Bobcats took their shot at ending the streak on Sunday and led early. Then, early in the second quarter, the Heat took the lead for good and won in a rout 109-77.
"We didn't allow them to run. We didn't turn the ball over a lot and we made shots," Bobcats head coach Mike Dunlap said. "Then we dried up and our defense had to hold the line for a long time before we scored in the second quarter."
The Bobcats were led by Kemba Walker's 20 points. Gerald Henderson added 18 points and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist was the only other player in double figures for Charlotte.
After the home tilt with Orlando, the Bobcats go on the road for three straight.
Charlotte has taken two of three this season against the Magic, both in Orlando. The Magic are 10-1 in their last 11 in Charlotte.
