Bucks try to get on track in Magic Kingdom

Apr 10, 2013 - 2:09 PM (Sports Network) - Now is not an opportune time for the Milwaukee Bucks to start stumbling. The Bucks look to right the ship when they resume a four-game road trip Wednesday against the Orlando Magic at Amway Center.

Milwaukee opened the trek with Tuesday's 94-83 loss to LeBron James and the Miami Heat, which is understandable, but the Bucks are just 3-8 in their previous 11 contests.

Brandon Jennings was the only Milwaukee player to score in double digits and finished with a game-high 30 points. Larry Sanders, Monta Ellis, Mike Dunleavy and Luc Mbah a Moute all had eight points for the Bucks, who committed 20 turnovers for 20 Miami points.

"We turned the ball over and that is what really hurt us," said Bucks coach Jim Boylan. "They (Miami) are a team that takes those turnovers and turns them into quick points. When we play them we have to take care of the basketball and we didn't do a good job of that tonight."

The Bucks are seeded eighth in the Eastern Conference -- three games behind Boston with five to play -- and are 16-21 away from the Bradley Center. They will also visit Atlanta and Charlotte on the current sojourn.

Orlando is back in central Florida for three games versus Milwaukee, Boston and Chicago, and just went winless on a five-game road swing.

The Magic were last in action during a 91-85 setback at Cleveland on Sunday as Nikola Vucevic led the way with 21 points and 21 rebounds. Tobias Harris scored a game-best 26 points and grabbed 12 boards in defeat for a Magic club that blew a lead in the fourth quarter and suffered its 11th straight road loss.

"You've just got to be more selfish (than we were), and want more than a six- point lead going into the fourth," Orlando coach Jacque Vaughn told NBA.com. "Defensively, we were pretty solid in giving ourselves a chance, even though we were 1-for-13 on threes. But you've got to defend without fouling in the fourth quarter, and that's what the game came down to."

Orlando has dropped 13 of 14 games and is 11-27 at home.

The Magic will welcome back Bucks guard J.J. Redick, who was sent to Milwaukee in a deal that brought Harris to the Magic Kingdom.

"He deserves a standing ovation. It's going to be a little weird to see him come back for a lot of people," injured Magic guard Jameer Nelson said. "But hopefully he enjoys it and the fans enjoy it. J.J. was more vocal this year being one of the veterans. Hopefully (the young players) learned from the time that they were here with him how to be a professional. He was the ultimate pro on and off the court and one of the guys that we all look up to."

Nelson has missed five straight games with an ankle issue and is out indefinitely. He is averaging 14.7 points and 7.4 assists this season.

Orlando has lost both meetings with Milwaukee this season, but is still 14-4 in the past 18 matchups between the teams. The Bucks haven't fared so well in central Florida lately, losing 13 in a row and 14 of 15 trips there.
