Sixers run past Cavs

Apr 15, 2013 - 1:15 AM Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Dorell Wright led six Philadelphia players in double figures with 15 points as the 76ers rolled to a 91-77 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday.

Jrue Holiday, Spencer Hawes and Thaddeus Young scored 14 points apiece and Damien Wilkins finished with 11 for the Sixers, winners in two straight. Arnett Moultrie added 10 points off the bench in the win.

"We had expectations for this season and it didn't turn out the way we wanted. It's a funny league sometimes, and we have to finish out on the road and come back strong next season," Hawes said.

Tristan Thompson, Wayne Ellington and Marreese Speights poured in 12 points apiece for the Cavs, and Kevin Jones turned in his first-career double-double with 11 points and 10 boards.

"Well, it's disappointing. That's why you yank guys out and bring other guys in, to see if they can get it going. But bottom line, it was a lack of effort," Cavs head coach Byron Scott said.

Philadelphia shot 59.1 percent from the floor in the first quarter to take a 32-19 lead. Wilkins led the way with eight points on 4-of-4 shooting. The Sixers outscored the Cavs 19-3 over the first six-plus minutes of the game.

Cleveland pulled within 34-25 following Ellington's triple early in the second period, but it would be the last time Cleveland would be within single digits the rest of the game.

The Sixers used a 9-1 run to go up 43-26, and led 53-34 at the break.

Philadelphia's lead grew to 28 points following Moultrie's putback slam, and the hosts took a 74-51 advantage into the final frame.

Cleveland couldn't get closer than 14 the rest of the way.
