Brooklyn is 0-2 as the visitor this season and has alternated wins and losses through its first four games. The Nets are coming off a 104-88 victory over the winless Utah Jazz on Tuesday, as Brook Lopez led the way with 27 points and Joe Johnson added 12.
"He's very poised and very strong," Nets forward Kevin Garnett said about Lopez. "He's a real chill person, but he has a fire."
Garnett had only four points.
Deron Williams and Andray Blatche scored 10 points apiece with Williams handing out a game-high eight assists for Brooklyn, which shot 51.3 percent for the game and scored 19 points off 21 Utah miscues. The Nets led by as many as 26 points early in the fourth quarter (87-61) and snapped a four-game losing streak to the Jazz.
Brooklyn had a season-high six players score in double figures.
The Nets haven't lost three in a row on the road since 2010-11 and Friday's matchup with the Wizards will feature two of the top guards in Williams and Washington's John Wall. Williams is averaging 24.8 points and 7.8 assists in six matchups with Wall (5 with Nets), while Wall is posting an average of 15.5 ppg and 7.3 apg in that time.
Washington will play just its second home game of the season Friday and ended a three-game losing streak to start the season with Wednesday's 116-102 victory at Philadelphia.
The Wizards avenged an earlier loss to the Sixers and were led by Wall's 24 points and nine assists. Wall led seven players in double-digit scoring, as Marcin Gortat followed suit with 19 points and 12 rebounds, Bradley Beal netted 17 points, Trevor Ariza had 25 and Martell Webster chipped in 14 points. Nene and Al Harrington scored 10 points apiece.
Wall hit five of Washington's 18 3-pointers (18-of-33) and the Wizards stormed out to a 39-27 lead after the first 12 minutes.
"It's something I worked on this summer," Wall said of his 3-point shooting. "I have to be confident and knock them down. Tonight they went in."
The Wizards had dropped five straight in Philadelphia, last winning there on Jan. 5, 2010.
After hosting the Nets, the Wizards have a tough three-game road trip on the horizon against Oklahoma City, Dallas and San Antonio.
Brooklyn took three of four games from Washington last season.
