The Bulls knocked the Indiana Pacers from the ranks of the unbeaten on Saturday night when they prevailed, 110-94 in Chicago.
"We beat a very good team that is playing very well. They had momentum, a good winning streak," said Bulls forward Luol Deng. "I thought we played well down there except the last eight minutes. We were disappointed in that. Tonight, I felt we played the whole game. We're better as a team than we were the first time we played them. So we've just got to keep working."
The Pacers creamed the Bulls, 97-80 in Indianapolis on Nov. 6. That was the last time Chicago lost.
On Saturday, Deng led the way with 23 points and seven rebounds. Derrick Rose returned from a one-game absence due to a leg injury and went 6-for-11 from long range for 20 points.
Taj Gibson, Carlos Boozer, Kirk Hinrich, Jimmy Butler and Mike Dunleavy all scored in double figures as Chicago shot 50.6 percent from the field and held the Pacers to 40 percent shooting.
The Bulls begin their circus road trip on Thursday in Denver. They will be gone until Dec. 2.
The Bobcats had a two-game winning streak snapped on Saturday when the two- time defending champion Miami Heat came to Charlotte and won 97-81. The 81 points was a season-low for the Bobcats.
"We struggled scoring the ball," said forward Jeff Taylor. "We missed a lot of shots that we are very capable of making. We got shots, they just didn't go down for us."
The Bobcats had two quarters under 20 points and shot 34.9 percent from the field. Charlotte only shot 29.6 from long range.
Kemba Walker led the way with 22 points, followed by 14 from Taylor. Gerald Henderson scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Ramon Session chipped in 11 off the bench.
The Charlotte starting frontcourt of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Josh McRoberts and Bismack Biyombo, combined for 18 points.
The Bulls took two of three from the Bobcats last season and are 12-4 over their last 16 against Charlotte in the Windy City.
