Bucks hope to halt slide in south Philly

Nov 22, 2013 - 3:31 PM (SportsNetwork.com) - The Milwaukee Bucks will try to snap a six-game losing streak Friday night when they visit the Wells Fargo Center to meet the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Bucks haven't won since Nov. 6 at home against Cleveland and have dropped three straight on the road.

Milwaukee's most recent setback came Wednesday when the Portland Trail Blazers knocked off the Bucks, 91-82. The Bucks only managed 31 points in the second half, but are at least getting some pieces back in the lineup.

"I think we're still trying to figure it out. We've got a lot of new guys who are just coming back (from injury) into the rhythm of the game, and we're still trying to figure it out," said guard Luke Ridnour, who played in his third game of the season on Wednesday.

Larry Sanders is still out after right thumb surgery and Brandon Knight is listed as questionable with a strained right hamstring.

The Bucks held Portland to 40.7 percent shooting, but committed 19 turnovers, which the Blazers translated into 20 points.

Ridnour was Milwaukee's leading scorer on Wednesday with a meager 13 points. Gary Neal scored 11 off the bench and Zaza Pachulia also netted 11. John Henson had 10 for the second unit.

The Sixers have dropped four in a row, including an 0-3 road trip and home setback to the Toronto Raptors, 108-98 on Wednesday.

Spencer Hawes continued his sensational start this season with 28 points and 10 rebounds. Evan Turner had 13 points and 10 boards, while James Anderson also scored 13.

Michael Carter-Williams returned from a four-game absence because of a sore foot and managed 10 points.

"I was a little anxious at first to get out there, I was a little rusty," Carter-Williams said. "I'm staying positive, staying with the team, we're just trying to win a game."

The Sixers committed a whopping 20 turnovers in the loss.

Thaddeus Young did not play against the Raptors for personal reasons and his availability for Friday night is unknown.

The Bucks took three of four from the Sixers last season, including a win in Philadelphia. Despite that victory, Milwaukee has dropped eight of its last 10 in the City of Brotherly Love.
