Lakers continue road trip in Brooklyn

Nov 27, 2013 - 3:29 PM (SportsNetwork.com) - The Los Angeles Lakers will continue their three-game eastern trip when they visit the Brooklyn Nets Wednesday night.

The Lakers had their season-high three-game winning streak cut short with Tuesday's 116-111 loss at Washington and were led by Jordan Farmar's 22 points and eight assists.

Pau Gasol finished with 17 points and eight assists for the Lakers.

"We didn't get stops when we needed to," Farmar said. "We're still trying to grow and figure it out."

Los Angeles is 1-5 away from home this season and will close the current trip Friday against Detroit.

Brooklyn ended a five-game slide with Tuesday's 102-100 victory at Toronto.

Andray Blatche scored 24 points and Joe Johnson added 21 for the Nets, who played without regulars Deron Williams, Brook Lopez, Jason Terry and Andrei Kirilenko and survived a late rally by the Raptors.

"Fortunately we built such a big lead, or if it was any closer we would have lost it," said Nets forward Paul Pierce, who finished with 16 points.

Lopez, Williams, Terry and Kirilenko are day-to-day for a Brooklyn club that owns a 2-3 record at Barclays Center this season.

Los Angeles took both meetings with the Nets a season ago and has won 10 straight, 12 of 13 and 15 of the past 19 games between the teams.

The Lakers are unbeaten in six straight matchups as the guest against the Nets.
