LeBron heads back to Cleveland as Cavs host Heat
Nov 27, 2013 - 3:34 PM (SportsNetwork.com) - LeBron James will make another return to the Forest City when the Miami Heat battle the Cleveland Cavaliers at Quicken Loans Arena.The former Cavaliers superstar is third in the NBA with 26.0 points per game and has helped the Heat to seven straight wins. The Heat are coming off a 107-92 victory versus the Phoenix Suns and James led the way with 35 points.
Dwyane Wade added 21 points with 12 assists -- his most in more than three years -- while Ray Allen scored nine of his 17 points in a fourth quarter.
"We had to work for this one," Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said. "They're a good, young basketball team."
Heat point guard Mario Chalmers did not play due to a strained hip flexor and he is questionable Wednesday.
The Heat are 3-2 away from South Beach and have won three in a row as the visitor. They will also head north to Toronto on this brief trip.
Cleveland has dropped three in a row and six of its last seven games, and suffered a 126-96 beating at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday.
Andrew Bynum matched a season-high with 21 minutes and scored a season-best 16 points, while Matthew Dellavedova netted a career-high 14 points in his second career start.
"Four of those guys I coached when I was here as an assistant coach back in 2000," Cavs coach Mike Brown said of the Spurs. "They're the same nucleus that is playing for them now, so it has been engrained in them a long time. It didn't just happen overnight."
The Cavs have dropped two in a row at home and are 3-2 at the Q. In injury news for Cleveland, guards Jarrett Jack (neck) and C.J. Miles (calf) and center Tyler Zeller (ankle) are questionable versus the Heat.
Cleveland lost all four matchups with Miami last season and is winless in seven straight and 10 of the last 11 meetings between the teams.
Miami has won three in a row at Cleveland.
