The Wiz dropped three straight, all at home, since New Year's Day. Washington lost by an average of 11.6 points during the slide, which came on the throws of the Wizards going 4-1 in their last five on the road.
Their most recent setback came on Sunday when the Wizards fell to the scorching-hot Golden State Warriors, 112-96. The game was knotted at 58-58 by the break, but the Warriors began the second half on a 19-3 run to seize control.
"Until we can learn to play through missed shots and not zap your own energy and the energy of your teammates, we're going to play like that," Wizards head coach Randy Wittman said of the run.
John Wall tallied 14 points and 10 assists for Washington. Nene also managed 14 for Washington, while Martell Webster added 11 and Marcin Gortat added 10 points.
All 11 Wizards who saw action Sunday scored at least four points.
The Bobcats halted a five-game slide on Saturday with a 113-103 win in Sacramento. Four of the five losses during the streak were on the road, but Charlotte has lost two of its last three. The Bobcats hit the road for four of their next five after Tuesday.
Kemba Walker poured in 30 points to guide the Bobcats to victory over Sacramento.
Al Jefferson contributed 27 points and nine rebounds. Gerald Henderson added 16 points for the Bobcats, who swept the season series and beat the Kings for the eighth time in the last 11 meetings.
"It was a big win, especially for our confidence," Walker said.
Ramon Sessions chipped in 12 points off the bench. Chris Douglas-Roberts managed 10 points.
The Bobcats won three of four last season from their Southwest Division rivals. The Wizards are just 3-7 in their last 10 in Charlotte.
