Rested Warriors ready for Nuggets

(SportsNetwork.com) - Opponents beware when the Golden State Warriors have their full squad on the court at tip-off.

The Warriors are 20-4 (.833) this season when Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala, David lee and Andrew Bogut start a game. The well-rested Warriors aim to improve that mark Wednesday versus the Denver Nuggets.

Golden State rolled out that lineup in Friday's 99-97 win over the Boston Celtics and Curry hit the game-winning shot with 2.1 seconds remaining.

It was Curry's second game-winner of the season and he finished with 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Iguodala added a team-best 22 points with seven assists and five rebounds. Thompson and Lee chipped in 17 and 16 points, respectively, while Bogut netted four with 13 boards for Golden State, which won for the 11th time in 12 tries and rebounded from a loss at Brooklyn.

The Nets stopped Golden State's 10-game winning streak on Jan. 8.

"These are the games that good teams, great teams, find ways to win," said Warriors coach Mark Jackson.

Golden State turned the ball over only 11 times, just the third occasion they've turned it over 11-or-fewer times this season. Marreese Speights scored nine of his 13 points in the third quarter to round out the double-digit scorers.

The Warriors have won four in a row at home and are 12-4 in Oakland. They have a 9-4 home record versus teams from the West and will open a two-game trip Friday against Oklahoma City and New Orleans.

Denver looks to get back on track after having a five-game winning streak stopped with Monday's 118-103 setback at Utah.

In the midst of playing four of five games on the road, the Nuggets were led by Ty Lawson's 23 points and 11 assists. J.J. Hickson recorded 21 points and 10 rebounds for Denver, which saw the Jazz shoot 55.7 percent for the game and score 13 points off 11 turnovers.

"Defense for the most part tonight was nonexistent," Nuggets head coach Brian Shaw said.

The five-game winning streak was the second of at least that many games and the third of at least three games. The Nuggets had won by an average margin of 19.0 points per game during the streak and prevailed by at least 13 points in each of the previous four.

After the Nuggets, who are 8-10 on the road and 4-8 against the West as the visitor, make a stop in Oakland, they will host Cleveland on Friday before hitting the road again for two straight against Phoenix and Portland.

Denver dropped an 89-81 decision to the Warriors on Dec. 23 at the Pepsi Center, as Lee led the Warriors with 28 points and 10 rebounds. Lawson had 16 points in that one for Denver, which is still 14-6 in the last 20 matchups between the teams.

The Nuggets have won four of seven and six of the last 10 at Golden State.

These two teams will meet again on April 10 and 16.
