Pistons visit Washington

Washington extended its winning streak to three with its second victory in a week over the Chicago Bulls on Friday at home. This one went down to the wire as the Bulls trailed by three with 10 seconds to go, but Nene blocked a Jimmy Butler 3-pointer at the buzzer.
John Wall scored a game-high 23 points and dished out 11 assists to lead the Wizards to a 96-93 win over the Bulls. He went 9-for-15 from the floor and only committed four turnovers, three of which came in the first five minutes of the game.
Also, Wall made one of the craziest shots this season.
Wall took the ball coast to coast before he was fouled hard by Mike Dunleavy on the other end. As he went up for the layup, Dunleavy grabbed his arm and pulled him to the floor. Wall, however, flipped the ball up near the rim and got a friendly bounce off the backboard.
"I don't know how the heck it went in. I surprised myself," said Wall.
Bradley Beal and Martell Webster scored 14 points apiece and Marcin Gortat had 13 points, six rebounds and three blocks for the Wizards. Trevor Booker and Nene added 12 and 10 points, respectively, for Washington, which also beat the Bulls in Chicago on Monday.
The Wiz also face Philly and Boston on this homestand.
The Pistons saw their brief two-game winning streak evaporate on Friday night with a disheartening, 110-89 setback to the Utah Jazz at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
"We just didn't come out and compete," guard Rodney Stuckey said. "That's on us tonight."
Stuckey had 21 points and six rebounds for the Pistons, who have dropped seven of their last nine tilts. Kyle Singler managed 13 points, followed by 11 from Brandon Jennings and a double-double out of Andre Drummond. The second-year center finished with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
The starting forwards - Josh Smith and Greg Monroe - scored four points apiece.
The Jazz pulled away during the latter stages of the first half and the early portion of the third quarter.
After Jennings' 3-pointer pulled the Pistons within 50-45 with 2:48 left in the second, Utah scored the next 16 points.
This will be the fourth and final meeting of these two teams this season. Washington won two of three, but is only 2-6 at home in the last eight of this series.
