Magic take down Bucks

Feb 1, 2014 - 4:50 AM Orlando, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Arron Afflalo scored 21 points to lead the Orlando Magic to a 113-102 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday.

Tobias Harris contributed 18 in a reserve role and Victor Oladipo scored 15 points with seven assists in the win. E'Twaun Moore and Maurice Harkless added 13 and 10 points, respectively, off the bench in Orlando's 16th consecutive home victory over the Bucks.

"It's good for us," Oladipo said. "We played well as a team, we did a lot of good things. We kind of took our foot off the gas in the fourth quarter, but other than that we played a pretty good game."

Caron Butler scored 20 points to lead Milwaukee, which dropped its fifth straight game overall and eighth straight on the road. Giannis Antetokounmpo notched 15 points with seven rebounds and Gary Neal tallied 13 points in defeat.

The last time Milwaukee left Orlando with a victory was a 111-105 decision on Dec. 29, 2004.

Nikola Vucevic broke a 7-7 tie with a jumper, igniting an 11-2 run that Oladipo closed by splitting a pair at the line after he slammed one home.

Moore and Afflalo scored six points apiece during a 14-5 run to end the first quarter and help the hosts take a 35-20 lead into the second.

Harkless went on a personal 6-0 run to push Orlando's advantage to 47-25 with just over nine minutes left in the second.

A Brandon Knight 3-pointer cut the deficit to 16, but Harkless followed with a layup and Afflalo buried a 3 at the halftime buzzer to stake the Magic to a 67-46 edge at the break.

Milwaukee cut the deficit to as little as 18 in the third, but the Magic were too much and led 88-64 after three.

Butler scored 10 points during a 13-3 run to open the fourth, including a four-point play to cap the run and pull Milwaukee within 14, 91-77, with 8:46 remaining in the contest.

The comeback was short-lived, however, as Moore followed with jumper before Harris made a three-point play to push the cushion to 96-77 and the Magic continued their home dominance over the Bucks with an effortless win.

"It was frustrating, but you have to keep playing," Khris Middleton said. "Sometimes you put yourself in a position to win and sometimes you can't."
