Davis, Warriors use hot shooting to top Trail Blazers

Oct 25, 2006 - 5:16 AM OAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- Baron Davis was in midseason form against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Davis scored 33 points and Anthony Roberson added 20 as the Golden State Warriors erased a 20-point first-half deficit to post a 108-96 preseason victory over the Blazers.

Despite it being the preseason, Warriors coach Don Nelson played his starters for the majority of the contest. Davis shot 13-of-17 from the field and handed out 13 assists in 41 minutes.

Roberson was 8-of-17, connecting three times from beyond the arc.

Portland held a 45-25 advantage with 8:07 remaining in the second quarter, but the Warriors stormed back. Mike Dunleavy added 18 points, nine assists and three rebounds for Golden State, which shot a blistering 54 percent (44-of-82).

Juan Dixon scored 20 points and Travis Outlaw had 19 for the Trail Blazers, who committed 25 turnovers that led to 34 points for the Warriors.
